It's a bit quiet here, so how's about a little light hearted competition.
Show off your shrubbery; don't be shy; boast your bush!
Here's my entry, and the metre rule gives an idea of the sheer majesty of my bigg'un.
It straddles the Western border of our land, so I share the rascal with a neighbour.

The fruit (prickly pear) of our beast are evil.
They are called higo chumbo here.
Collecting or picking the bu99ers requires care and thick gloves or an old towel that can be thrown away.
The "hairs" on the fruit are as nasty as fibre glass matting and difficult to get out of your skin, if you can see them, that is!
The fruit are up to the size of a tennis ball and sweet if left to ripen and fall, when they are pink.
You cut them open and sort of turn them inside out and best use a spoon to scoop out the mush exposed.
All a bit dodgy as even with thick gloves the wicked hairs can get you, so we don't bother.
Here is a snap taken in autumn, when the fruit is ripe.

Big and bad!

Scientific name: Opuntia

Approx 2.5 metres high x 3 metres wide.
And going nowhere in a hurry.
Approach with caution and respect.

Hey!!!!! :greetings-wavingblue:
C'mon ... where are the bushes then folk; show 'em off.
Spring is in the air; blossom and blooms must be thrusting forth.
Don't be shy; a lascivious laurel, a pert privet or a whorey hawthorne might excite us shrubbery voyeurs.
Spice up the forum with a spikey araucaria or a loquacious oleander.
All welcome and applauded for their impertinence.

Good man; well done!

The next village along the foothills here (Losar de la Vera), take topiary quite seriously and the verges and grass spaces have all manner of creations to admire.

I've always found it best to employ someone who isn't drunk, especially when pruning one's bush !!
