Oh ok, your not going to gain that much extra room by removing the folding bit of the rear seat. I've got 2x 19inch tyres at home that I can throw in the car to see how they would all fit if you like?

On a secondary note, the trim clips from AliExpress arrived and they honestly look better than the factory Peugeot clips I bought.

So the cars been in for a service and 2 days later a weird squeak appears.... Whooooohhhoooo

Turns out to be the radiator fan slowly starting to die, first time Peugeot NZ has heard of one dieing, and they don't have one in the country - 2- 3 week order from France.

So we will wait and get it later and hope fully do the black grills at the same time.

I'm tempted to just pull the front bumper off and do it all myself and see what else I can play with also.

Firstly my apologies for posting this question in the wrong section - but I'm new here and I'm not sure "which" section I should be asking this question in (?)

I posted the same question earlier and I THINK it was in the 'Cars for Sale' section - which I discovered only after submitting the post. If someone spots it and it's possible to transfer to the correct category then "thanks in advance".

I was asking if anyone knew where to get the best deal to add additional (twin) exhaust outlets to "balance" the rear aesthetics of the GT (and other non 'R' models). I think you refer to it here as "Quads" ??

1. If there's a National Exhaust Company that provides this service? (we're in Exeter)
2. The approx cost?

3. If no National Company known of where's the most competitive place to purchase the pipes? (which can then be fitted by a local garage or exhaust specialist outlet)

4. If too expensive for us right now - is it possible to purchase dummy/fake pipes?
(this would only be a temp measure until the 'real thing' was affordable)

Thanks and apologies once again for not yet knowing where posts of this nature should go.

I made my own as various UK companies said it was impossible to do (including Tony Banks).

There is a guy on EBay, Tony Banks who does the full service £399 with a choice of tips & 3 different noise levels. I have seen his work at the meets & he does a great job. Only problem for you is that he is in Leeds - sounds like a great excuse for a nice long drive to me :eusa-whistle:

Also I have seen on EBay Twin tips for sale, which could be used as "fake" quads. I think it all depends at the time you are looking.

There are also several different companies on the same site offering the quad exhaust on a supply only basis, which might be better for you if you don't fancy the drive. You can get them fitted locally then. The only thing is that you only see what your getting when they arrive :eusa-think:

There are many members on here that have had quads fitted, and I'm sure one or more of them must be down your way & can recommend a local supplier, unlike Tianorth, who very cleverly made & fitted his own

Maybe a Google search might reveal a solution for you

Have you never thought about quads yourself, DK? I think it would look great on your car... *runs away*

I like Greece

Actually, my Auntie is Greek. She lives in London now, she just moved from Yorkshire a couple of months ago. She is in her 90's !!!

She was from Thessaloniki but moved to the UK when she was in her teens. We call her Auntie Lola but her name is Theodora.

Thinking about wrapping the arches again... I got a sample pack of vinyl sections so we can try and get an idea of new colors. She still loves the copper color but at $600 nzd to wrap it at a few places, I think I'll have a go myself first.

Also gave the car a wash.

Look forward to seeing the arches wrapped mate. You could try the copper metalizer dip. It'd be much cheaper than the wrap by the sounds of it and you choose the level / colour if the copper you want.

So went out and purchased this today: http://www.soundaround.co.nz/shop/Car+Audio/Bass+Packs/Fusion+EN-AT1102+10+Active+Tube+Enclosure.html

Except it has a gray not green centre cone.

I've got one in my v50 wagon and it perfect, as it's self contained with an integrated amp it means should it need to be removed she can do so very easily.

I'll look to wire it up next weekend, as I'm on house duties this weekend.

I highly recommend one of these to aid with the easy removal and reinstall.

Ulter do a rear section quad system you could buy and have fitted at a local garage they're on eBay for around £300 I've recently been to Tony Banks in Leeds and priced up a quad system £399 for a rear section loads of tip options but to go for cat to rear £550 I've picked out some carbon tips which cat back costs £750 lifetime warranty though.

So installed the sub yesterday, I'll write up more on the installation in the threads we have been spamming recently.

I need to wait for the sub to break in before really know the difference, but it's made a decent difference to the sound...

Unfortunately it's started to cause the rear plastic interior trim panels to vibrate so I'll need to pull those off and figure out a way to stop it...

I still need to tidy up some of the wiring, so excuse the messy photos.

Some points...

The small sub still allows for the floor to be fully lifted up to access the spare tire well.

The earth for the sub is on the left hand side of the boot.

You don't need a windscreen removal tool, just wiggle the wiper arm around until it becomes loose.

I cut the end off the gromet that goes through the firewall and then used a large Phillips head screwdriver to punch the hole in the sound deadening and wiggled it around to make it a bit larger for the cable to come through. So the gromet becomes the protection for the wire. I went around the gromet and wire with windscreen sealant for water protection.

I used the green remote wire on the jbl amp input wiring for the remote wire and only had 1 small pop from the sub.

I used the high level inputs from the jbl amp and spliced those and ran the cable for the 2 rear woofers into the high level inputs on the sub amp.

I ran the power cable for the amp in between the black fuse box and the white plastic housing.

I ran it down the side of the car next to the factory loom. To get it under the rear interior trim I just slid it along the carpet and the trim and pushed it under the plastic and wiggled the cable until it was where I wanted so I didn't need to remove the panel.

I mounted the remote for the amp gain / volume in the center console and fed the wire through through slot next to the USB input.

The sub is Velcro'd into place with 4x 50mm x 50mm pieces and that's more than enough to hold it, but movable. If required.

Hmmm what else...

Ohhh don't forget to fully push the wiper motor plug in or you will have a minor oh **** what is broken, why arnt the wipers working moment... ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
