Hi all

I have a RCZ R. In need to replace both front Discs and to have my front calipars reconditioned.
I had a cost from the main Peugeot Dealer but as we know this is extremely expensive!

Anyone bought these from somewhere else? As i know its proving hard to find anyone else to supply!

kind regards
Darren

There is a firm who has just started doing a exchange reconditioned set of callipers with stainless pistons I believe at a cost of around £800.

Other companies are doing full replacement kits discs and callipers for between 1K-2K one is Pug1 off and another is K Sport.

I've been digging about again to source 3rd Party discs for the R at a more reasonable cost. I don't need them and probably not for some time with my limited mileage but as the car is covered by Warranty and will be until 10/11 year's of age the only other major cost is the front discs and pads.

Tarox look nice two piece for £850 +VAT
MTECH as previous posts say they are prepared to look a nachining a set in October
Godspeed are working on a set at the moment for availability in a few weeks
Leyland could provide a two piece set for circa £900

The K-Sport system includes
Two part discs,
8 pot pistons and calipers,
Braided hoses.
All for £1850.
Which when you consider the above posts, makes this a viable option for a complete system, which you can transfer to another vehicle by just buying the inner bell to fit new car.

Yes worth considering had a quick look on line and there are mixed reviews for various calipers sold; I would favour keeping the calipers oe and sourcing a set of compatible discs and pads as and when, fitting them myself or at a specialists.

Problem with the RCZ R calipers are that the pistons are made from mild steel and corrode over time, reducing their effectiveness.

I had my callipers replaced under the extended Pug warranty this January - 5 year old RCZ R. I had to pay for a new set of discs.

Cripes!

Were the piston's corroded/stuck in the calipers? Did you pick this up or on a service/MoT? (my discs and pads were replaced under a previous owner due to squealing etc)

Yes, corroded callipers picked up on the MoT. The standard Peugeot extended warranty clearly covers them as they are not a standard wear and tear item (unlike disks and pads).
