With the site moved to a new more powerful server, over the course of the next week we will be implementing a new look to the forum. With the forum becoming more popular and with users spending so much time here, I thought it time to tidy the place up a bit. The new look is currently in testing and we're still working on a few features but I think everyone will be pretty pleased with the results when it goes live.

You don't need to do anything. The change will happen automatically sometime next week.

**EDIT**

Apart from the new look and feel of the site, the following are new:

IMAGES
Image links are now resized if they are larger than a certain size. You can zoom in on these by clicking the zoom icon on the top left of each image.

ROTATING HEADER
The background behind our new logo will change randomly between 10 different images

FAST REPLY
This replaces the "Quick Reply" button. Same functionality but it's next to the normal reply button

VIEW NEW POSTS • VIEW ACTIVE TOPICS • VIEW UNREAD POSTS • VIEW UNANSWERED POSTS
These are now contained in the drop down menu that you can access by hovering your mouse over the "Search" icon at the top right of the nav bar next to your username (below the header image)

KUDOS
You can now "Like" a particular post by clicking the thumbs-up icon in the post itself. Every time someone "Likes" one of your posts your Kudos goes up by one. Your Kudos is displayed below your Post count in below your username / avatar and on your Profile page.

TAPATALK
Has been updated to the latest version.

Well done Dan. Go for it! My daughter went back to Uni at a rather late stage. Took her 7 years and 2 kids later but she finally qualified last year. Was so proud of her achievement.

Well in both to you dan and to your daughter bownib! Your new prospective career sounds very interesting Dan. Will this result in jobs with insurance companies or with the police? How did this opportunity present itself?

That would be cool. Did you watch that plane crash documentary on channel 4? I'd love to remote control crash an empty passenger jet!

I agree there Starky. It could have been a whole lot better in its structure (the programme that is)
And landing the plane on sand and straight on is not what would happen in real life. How many plane crash perfectly level?
The sand slowed down its forward motion so again not life like.

Ok...agreed...the first hour was poor but the actual crash and fallout was interesting, particularly the part where you saw the engines still blasting.

Shoulds sky plussed it then!! ;) They, by their own admission, botched the actual crash. Totally sidetracking this thread...sorry tony!!
