Has anyone tried paint protection film? I am finally found an installer. but he only brings in the 3M ventureshield. i was hoping to wrap my whole car with it.

what do you think?

the claims are:
-harder to scratch
- easier to clean
- water and UV resistant

If I'm remember correctly, Ron was thinking about having this done on his car but was put off it by Jactac as stone chips still occur on the film but of course you can't fill them etc so cut ally ends up looking worse than a car without the film.

As RCZ1 has said, I seriously looked into have this product applied to the entire front of my then brand new RCZ. I was in contact with a specialist firm based in Peterborough. But as RCZ1 has stated jactac put me off the idea, as he is very knowledgeable about plastics, and explained how the protective layer would still sustain stone chips. That they would be unrepairable so removal and replacement or live with it being the two options. I decided that to spend £1000 in order that the next owner had perfect paintwork was not an avenue that I wished to go down.

In my country, it costs around X dollars to get the car wrapped in plastic by 3M. and it cost around X dollars to get the whole car repainted.

thats why i would want to the value proposition of having the whole car wrapped.

because, in the end the original paint should still be the best?
