Leather care what are you using

Postby BespokeCarCare » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:02 pm

Hi

As I am quite keen on leather care just wondering what you are using to keep your leather like new and process you are using do you believe leather still needs feeding.

Regards

Interested in these replies Lee. My car is new so I haven't treated it yet. But the sooner I do, hopefully the less 'cleaning' it'll need. Been a bit apprehensive to buy something in case it turns the leather shiny :(

I guess the leather will need regular feeding especially if you use the heated seats a lot?

There was a recent discussion concerning this. Page 22 'The Banter Thread'.

I use Furniture Clinic cleaner and the Protectant.

My leather gets cleaned about twice a month and the Protectant is used every 3 months. Leaves leather matt not shiny ( leather should never be shiny) and it also leaves a nice leather smell, not over powering. It really does work too. Any marks just wipe off and it also prevents creases from forming. By that I mean if the leather creases but is not cleaned then dirt becomes ingrained in it and this is when creases become permanent and cracking sets in.
