Danielll.bee, you just need the cleanser and then the wax.

The cleanser works as a polish. No need for a sealant and a wax. Just stick to the two above.

For soft top roofs you need APC (All Purpose Cleaner), water and a scrubbing brush to get the dirt out and clean. Let it FULLY dry and then its worth using Gtechniq I1 - Fabric Protector. This will then protect the soft top in the future and will bead and repel water.

Fabric must be bone dry before applying. trick for application is to get as much of the product soaked into the fabric as possible without leaving any pools of product on the surface. after spraying onto a fabric surface you may find it beneficial to dab the surface with a cloth to force product into the fibres.

Hope this helps.

What is wrong with a Pearl White coloured RCZ? They are all the rage and much sought after
RCZ is the only car to make the Audi TT appear dated, and is officially the sexiest car on the road.

Jassy, the Wolf's Body Wrap is a great sealant but as you live in the rather damp Scotland I wouldn't suggest it until next year when it's drier and warmer, as those are the conditions it likes.

A highly regarded sealant is Werkstat Jett Trigger. You spray it on, a couple of squirts a panel, spread it over the whole panel with a soft microfibre cloth (they come with the kit) and then buff with a clean microfibre cloth. It doesn't take long to do the whole car and is really easy to use and remove. You can apply multiple layers, the more layers the more protection. I had about 5 or 6 on mine and will last a good 6 months and beyond.

You can buy just the Jett but the kit is really good. Comes with Prime a good polish / cleaner - a good base for the Jett. You also get Glos the QD to keep it topped up. It's all really easy to use and gives a crisp finish.

Well I must thank you for the fantastic advice on looking after the car. Got everything in the mail yesterday, wax, polish, clay kit etc etc and after spending 4 to 5 hours going over the car it looked fantastic. Another bonus is that the girlfriend got jealous of me running my hands over the car all afternoon so she demanded similar treatment herself. So all in all it was a great day/night all round

LOL! I went for

- Meguiars Hyper Wash with a couple of lambs wool mitts to go with it (2 bucket method etc)
- Meguiars smooth surface clay kit
- Autoglym Super Resin Polish
- Purple Haze dodo juice wax
- Meguiars NXT Generation Glass Cleaner (for windows)

Only had time to go for a single layer of wax however I will put extra layers on when I next have time although I noticed the difference today driving through the rain, car still looked brand new afterwards. I was also amazed at the whole clay process. Worried at first putting something so hard against the paint work but after a few panels I was sold. Great for removing those small spots of sap and other garbage that washing doesn't remove.

Only issue I have is that because I live on a top floor flat and there are no outdoor taps, I can't go the whole hog with the power washer and foam. It's a downside but something I'll have to live with for the time being! Not sure I'd trust the guys with the power foamers in car washes.
