Bloody hell! That's a bit quick to be thinking of a face lift already.

If true I think it is bad news.

I don't know.. if it's launched at the Paris motor show in 2012 it'll be late 2012 to 2013 til it's available to order.. about time to start thinking of :eusa-think: changing your car!!

It's common for manufacturers to do this, it helps stop the model going stale and keeps sales moving, it's also an opportunity to put right some of those little faults we have comming out of the woodwork or should I say metal work :o

I must admit in 2 -3 years time I will be looking to change, I like the idea of the hydrid.

And some reports talk of more power too

210 hp for the 1.6 and 204 hp with a 2.2 HDI

an extra 40 hp for me sounds nice!!

True, but i had always imagined the life of a vehicle to be 3 years, a minor facelift, another 3 years and finally the new model so seeing this model change after two years will be a bitter disappointment (if its not a minor facelift); i mean considering prices here are quite elevated, and you know its nice to drive a current model:)

Well i guess we will just have to see.

every bike I've owned has changed every 2 years, its nothing new

what is exciting is the 4 wheel drive

But, I'll be placing my order for the SR1 by then, (aston lookalike?)

Also spotted this link which gives a nice view of the new nose/grill (I guess a taster of the new 'corporate' look)

:eusa-think: Got to say, I like the redesigned nose. I hate to say this, and before I've even taken delivery of my RCZ, but that's the one bit of the RCZ I dont like - the big Peugeot badge on the front. But I like the badge in the link above

Well, looking at the photo's of the 2012 facelift, I can't in all honesty see too much difference between that & the current RCZ, or am I missing something! :-?

Just seen the photo from the link about, & yes, I aggree......The nose is more stylish & not quite so'in your face'. I have'nt got my RCZ yet as it's en-route to dealership, & I adore the look, but that facelift is nice!!!

They've mentioned a possible hybrid before. Whether it will make production is anyone's guess but will lose boot space. As for the "facelift" - if they're talking a wider grill isn't that moving away from other Peugeot concepts (and also isn't the wide grill the bit people criticise)?

Facelifts/new models are inevitable, I guess, in the motor industry and I know lots of members will be of the mind to change after 2-3 years anyway to the latest model but there are also those of the opinion (I'm on the fence in this area :eusa-think: ) who like to own an original so it's a personal thing in the end. I'm still totally in awe of the beautiful car I now own and every time I come back to it I just get blown away by its loveliness so I intend to keep it for a good while.

The front is being redesigned across the Peugeot range because of all the negative comments about the 'gaping' grille. I've always thought the front was the weak link in the chain because it just looks like a 308 whereas the rest of the car is unlike anything else in the Pug range...but I guess they had to make savings somewhere. Doubt they'll do much with the rear/double bubble.

Still too early i guess it will always be a good 2-3 years time, remember the front is similar but not the same as the 308 and it works pretty well altogether.

ok ok; so i had contacted Peugeot (local) just to verify whether a facelift could be done as early as 2011 and he stated that this 'rumour' is impossible. The problem would be: spending and equivalent of well lets say 38,000 euro (cars aren't that cheap here) for a new model and having the facelift immediately sprout out, that wouldn't be fair - well he asked me to re-study the fronts of the rcz and the 308 (the latter will have a facelift in 2011) and the front of both vehicles don't match. I had thought that the front is exactly the same for both cars but they really aren't which is a bit of good news. Most probably the 308's facelift will make it look a bit like the RCZ. (take a look - there are a number of substantial differences)

Well, i hope. (Don't know why but this is actually important to me - i actually made my girlfriend angry today complaining about it - off to buy her some flowers i guess  )

I don't think they look alike. Obviously you would know they came from the stable but the RCZ is that much more squat and racy in comparison.

They don't look alike at all. When trying to RCZ spot, whilst waiting for my Pearl to arrive, I would often think there was one coming down the road but when it went by it was usually a 308CC. Now I've got Pearl, when you see a RCZ coming towards you - you definitely know its a RCZ. You can't confuse it with any other Peugeot.
