And yet another new owner.

Took delivery of a Dolphin Blue GT200 7 days ago. I think this is probably my sixteenth car in the last 38 years of driving. Fell in love with the look of the car when I visited a showroom and was determined to grab one. I bought the car, which came from Peugeot UK, from a local dealer. I had toyed with the idea of buying a new car but having been stung so many times in the wallet by the new car costs I decided to plump for something with a few quid already taken off. It's 1 yr old, 11 miles on the clock and is an absolute stunner to look at.

I love the look of the car but the thing I hate about it is the lack of a spare wheel. I have been unlucky enough to experience several punctures during my many years on the road and feel the lack of the old spare, space saver or whatever, leaves me and especially the wife very vulnerable. i asked about purchasing a spare wheel when I bought it and was told it was possible at a cost of £290. Gullible me or what. The £290 is just for the wheel when I rang to order, nearer to £500 with a tyre on it, thanks Mr salesman. I will however continue to look to find a suitable spacesaver for the boot. Any information on this would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum :greetings-wavingblue:

I'm sure you will love the RCZ. It's a great car

There are various options members have gone for in the spare wheel solution. Me, I haven't bothered. My last 4 cars have all had the gunk stuff, which I have had to use on more than one occasion. To me it's better suited for a woman as it enables you to put the gunk in and continue on your way whereas I would struggle to change a wheel. Yes, it may mean Ineed a new tyre but I've NEVER had a puncture which could be repaired ( maybe that's because I'm a woman and the garage are trying it on :eusa-think: )

Anyway, have fun and many happy miles of motoring.

I upgraded the Peugeot Assist to Peugeot Assist PLUS, which includes call outs for punctures. They'll either repair or take you to a garage - you're also covered for a courtesy car for 3 working days if necessary .... RCZ tyres aren't common and you can almost guarantee no garage will have them in stock.

Upgrading costs £20 a year, so for £60 I thought it was worth it ... cos you can BET a punture will happen on a cold, dar, rainy night miles from anywhere - so at least now I can just wait in the warmth of the car waiting for the AA.
